This is an online First Aid for Parents course which takes up to 1.5 hours to complete, although you can study at your own pace and log in and out as often as you wish. The First Aid for Parents course is an interactive and engaging course that supplies you with all the knowledge you need to respond effectively to any First Aid incident or emergency in helping babies or children. Also, the course gives you advice on how to manage common childhood illnesses and conditions. 

 

In 2016, a study found that 44% of parents said their child has had a First Aid emergency

 

Who is the First Aid for Parents course for? 

This course is designed for parents, grandparents, and anyone caring for babies and young children, so that they can feel more confident in responding to any First Aid incident or emergency effectively and gain more First Aid knowledge. 

 

Assessment and Certification 

Throughout this online course, there will be a range of learning styles used with interactive quizzes, video, and audio features to help you learn First Aid knowledge such as how to help a child who is suffering from anaphylactic shock. You will be able to complete the course within your own pace, whilst testing your knowledge as you progress through the course content. This online course can be completed on any PC or mobile device. There will be self-checks after each section, and at the end of the course, there will be an optional multiple-choice assessment at the end of the course. 

 

Upon successful completion, learners will be able to download their certificates to show that they have successfully completed and passed the course.
